Here's your first #Evergrande news report for Friday. An absolutely massive Chinese property company filed for bankruptcy: Evergrande. I do not see any possibility of this not affecting global finance. China reported a drop in property values. Local townships are bankrupt. Citizen savings are being seized or they just disappear. Corruption is rampant. China has reported lower birth rates than expected. They've had less than 1B for a while now. My Context: I expected Evergrande collapse last year with more to follow. The collapse of China has begun. China will invade Taiwan to distract its population from revolting. Civil unrest is their biggest fear.Weather works for invasion in October & April. China has lied about everything in their data for 2 decades & used the global status of the dollar to build themselves up. They aren't as big as they claim and have done nothing to shore up true national weaknesses, instead worsening them to maintain power. Genius plan, bu...
Picture a pitch fork laying on the ground. It's tines are at your feet. Now pour sand slowly over the tines Eventually sand starts to pile up on the tines. Not a lot, but noticable. These are world "events". When facts, context and direction overlap, events become patterns. That is easier to see. Now imagine looking at bowling pins set up, but from overhead. 5 pins at the top, 4, 3, 2, 1. You are number 1. The pins above you are things that impact you and your survival; money, job, housing, safety, etc. Now imagine only the sand on the tines of the pitchfork is poured onto the bowling pin diagram. And like Plinko, it all falls down on you. This is how and why world events you aren't connected with can impact you. I can only tell you when the sand is coming. Only you can decide what to do with it.
Like many of you, one of my earliest fears was that Jesus was a pyromaniac who was going to burn my house down with my cat inside. No? Just me? That's Not unusual because I've been different most of my life. The Bible has a lot of weird and controversial passages that no one has been able to agree to for the past 2000 years. Believers and atheists are able to tell the same basic version of the story that everyone agrees to. Adam & Eve. Noah. Joseph. Women's hair and the angels. The Resurrection and miracles. Each of us decides to believe what our understanding, interests and personal experiences have been. If God is "god" and all of this matters, shouldn't he have been a little more clear, literal or forceful so that there wouldn't be all of the conflict and confusion that continues to this day? That's a fair question. The following thought experiment reflects the 42 years of my own faith, the near loss of that faith, and the search for a non-ri...
